THE top two teams in Division Four of the Evesham and District Sunday League both dropped points at the weekend.

Leaders Pinvin United slumped to their first league defeat of the season when visitors Eckington were two up at the interval through goals from Bostock and Hughes. Chris Fletcher replied for Pinvin but a further goal from Payne earned Eckington an impressive win.

Second-placed George were held at home by Riverside with Martin on target for George before an own goal denied them maximum points.

Cider Mill won comfortably at Lenches Lions with goals from Smith, Watson and Taylor, while a second half Hancock effort gave Crown Athletic the points against Royal Oak.

Broadway United Reserves remain firmly rooted at the foot of Division Three after White(3), Hunting and Kelsall all found the net as Ashton proved too strong for their young opponents for whom Buckland grabbed a consolation.

Wickhamford and Queens shared six goals, with Ian Houghton scoring twice for the winners and Fraser repeating the feat for the Stratford side.

Bradley and Smith were on target as Badsey Recreation won their second division clash with Shipston for whom Cooke scored.

Ambassador, Evesham WMC and Red Horse all reached the last four of the Evesham Hospital Junior Cup, while Hampton WMC, Bredon, Lower Moor and Bretforton OB reached the last eight of the Minor Cup.

Upton Snodsbury lost out, meanwhile, in the Worcester Infirmary Cup.

First division Moreton Wanderers have been drawn at home to top Cheltenham League side FC Patriots in the semi-final of the GFA Sunday Premier Cup to be played on March 6.
