Bredon Ladies 2,
Evesham Utd Ladies 2
A STOPPAGE-TIME goal that had a suspicion of offside about it denied United victory in Sunday's clash.
A depleted visiting side produced a fine display and took the lead after 16 minutes when Lucy Jeffs bagged her first goal for the club direct from a corner!
The lead last just eight minutes when Evesham failed to clear their lines and Rachel Vincent was on hand to stab home the equaliser.
The visitors came storming back and earned a penalty only for Charlene McLoughlin's spot-kick to lack power and the goalkeeper made an easy save.
However, United were back in front within three minutes when Lisa Tustin netted a fine angled drive.
The scorer was denied a second after the interval when the Bredon goalkeeper stuck out a leg to divert a goalbound shot past the frame of the goal.
Mandy Upton in the Evesham goal produced a smart save ten minutes from time that looked to have secured the points until Laura Blake was allowed to race through unchallenged and send the ball past an exposed Upton.
The Robins are back at Common Road this Sunday when they entertain Burlish Olympic, kick-off 2pm.
