THE inquest into the death of a 59-year-old man who had not been well but had refused to see a doctor has been opened and adjourned.
The body of George Michael Bradbury was found at the Bridge Guest House in Severnside South, Bewdley, at 1.50pm, on Friday, January 7.
A statement by coroner's officer, Peter Stockton, read out at the hearing on Tuesday last week, said the widower normally lived alone on the Riverside Caravan Park in Dowles Road, Bewdley but had moved into the guest house for the month of January.
Worcestershire coroner Victor Round said: "He had refused to see a doctor, failed to turn up to meet his friends, one of whom found him lying dead on the floor in his bedroom.
"He had minor abrasions to his face, neck and arms but those are not a matter of criminal concern at the moment."
Mr Round added he had not yet received any blood test results.
He adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
