Evesham & District Airgun League
STANTON Club are the new leaders after another fascinating series of matches.
The summit side were the easiest winners as they showed no mercy on bottom of the table New Inn who were 34 shots adrift at the finish. Ron Rose top scored with 48.
The best match saw title challengers Lygon Arms and Offen-ham RBL feature in a thrilling tussle that saw just two shots in it at the end.
Ian Harwood and Jamie Beadle both scored 48 but it was the latter's Offenham teammates who gave the best support in a 275-273 success that leaves the Legion in third place one point behind Stanton.
Offenham are one of four teams on 16 points after Badsey RBL fell to a surprise setback at their neighbours from the Recreation Club and Campden RBL comfortably saw off the challenge of Nomads with Bob Pitcher scoring a maximum.
