A HEREFORD community group has received a £600 donation from Sun Valley Foods.
The contribution has enabled the purchase of sofas to help furnish The Riverside Community Learning Centre in Vicarage Road.
This has recently reopened for business after the completion of building and refurbishment work.
As well as providing day care for older people it also offers a range of learning opportunities for people in Hereford and surrounding villages.
"It is very encouraging to know that there are large companies in Hereford that do care about the community," said Ruth Nice, the centre's community development manager.
"Sun Valley Foods' donation is very much appreciated and, on behalf of all the people who use the centre, I would like to say a big thank you."
Jane Melton, charities co-ordinator for Sun Valley Foods, added: "We are delighted to have played a part in getting the centre up and running."
