BURY'S start to the Division Three season is in direct contrast to Kidderminster Harriers' two wins.
Managed by Evesham-born Andy Preece, the goals have been flying into both nets so far but they have no points on the board.
Bury, who visit Aggborough on Saturday, started with a 4-2 defeat at Swansea and then lost on their home patch, 3-2 to Scunthorpe.
But both those opponents could be in the promotion hunt and the Shakers only slipped 1-0 at Division Two side Tranmere in the Carling Cup last week.
Experienced forward Preece has started and scored in each of the league games but is largely relying on young players and loan signings.
Harpal Singh (Leeds), Greg Strong (Hull) and Joe O'Neill (Preston) are all temporary additions, while Lee Duxbury, a midfielder with plenty of games under his belt, was the one permanent capture from Oldham.
Creative midfielder George Clegg has picked up a bad knee injury, while forward Chris Porter (ankle) and centre-half Danny Swailes (broken toe) may also be struggling.
Bank Holiday Monday opponents Cheltenham, who also lost their first two league fixtures, signed West Brom legend Bob Taylor this week.
But the 36-year-old forward, who scored more than 100 goals for the Baggies, had a minor knee operation in the summer so will be some way off full match fitness.
The Robins, with 2-0 and 4-3 defeats to Southend and Swansea respectively behind them, firstly visit Hull on Saturday.
Bobby Gould, the former West Brom and Coventry boss, has also acquired Bristol City defender Kevin Amankwaah on loan as cover for injuries to Shane Duff and Richard Walker.
