IMPECCABLE behaviour has seen Kidderminster Harriers fans named among the best behaved in the country.
Statistics released by the Home Office reveal the Division Three club's supporters, alongside Torquay United and Macclesfield fans, had a clean sweep in the football hooliganism stakes last season - not receiving a single arrest or banning order.
And this achievement took place at the same time as a 19 per cent rise in the total number of arrests at domestic games in England and Wales.
Harriers' media manager Steve Thomas said the government's findings were no surprise to the family club. "Ever since we were a non league club we've had a good family reputation," he explained.
"Our policy is that if anyone's being a little bit naughty we give them a tap on the shoulder, so we don't really have to get heavy handed. We try to treat them with respect as paying customers and it's paying us dividends."
He added only one of their supporters was arrested in the 2001-2002 season and the club was hoping to maintain its success this season.
