KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have appointed Ian Britton as their new manager on a two-year contract.
The 45-year-old has been in charge at Aggborough in a caretaker capacity since Jan Molby and his assistant Gary Barnett quit last month.
Britton's appointment was an-nounced after Harriers' Worcestershire Senior Cup final with Moor Green at Aggborough last night.
Britton, who has been Harriers reserve and youth team boss since 1993, said: "It was not a difficult decision to take the job. I'd never dreamed this opportunity would come along. When it did I was not going to turn it down. I wouldn't have thought at the beginning of the season that I'd get a chance of managing a Nationwide League club."
Britton added: "I can bring lots of enthusiasm to the job, lots of commitment and a lot of endeavour."
Chairman Colin Youngjohns said: "He was the best candidate for the job. He brings total commitment to the club."
