KIDDERMINSTER Harriers hope their decision to advertise nationally for a replacement for Jan Molby will attract the 'ideal' candidate.
Harriers chairman Colin Youngjohns says the managerial vacancy created by Molby's recent move to Third Division rivals Hull City has sparked a wave of interest.
Several names have been linked with the job, including Ian Britton who was promoted from youth and reserve team boss to take over in a caretakercapacity when the former Liverpool star resigned.
Youngjohns said: "The ideal candidate will be hungry to succeed, for himself and the club.
"It's a big appointment and one we will not rush into. We have had three managers in the last 30 years and we need to make sure we get exactly the right man for the job."
Meanwhile, successful Worcester-shire businessman and avid Harriers fan Ernie Lane has promised a personal pledge of 'between £5,000 and £10,000' to launch a fund to raise money for the club following the resignation of millionaire chairman Lionel Newton.
The care home owner has already had talks with Youngjohns and Kidderminster's general manager Geoff Butler to decide where to put the £20,000-plus in pledges received since Newton's departure.
Lane said: "We have agreed to set up an account over the next two years to keep continuity. I will personally put in between £5,000 and £10,000 to start it off.
"People or businesses giving money will be receipted and they have the option of buying £1 shares for 50 pence each."
