A TWO-day show for smallholders and gardeners that made its debut in 2002 and attracted more than 20,000 visitors from across the UK last year is on course to break all records in 2005.
The show is run by the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society in association with Smallholder magazine, part of the Newsquest Media Group, which also publishes the Evening News.
The show uses the extensive facilities of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society showground at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, and takes place this year on Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22.
It is a source of comprehensive information on choosing varieties of plants, bulbs, shrubs, roses and trees and includes a range of trade stands offering not only things that grow in the garden but also all kinds of equipment from greenhouses to wellies.
There will also be information stands and display gardens and a professional competitive section will be staged in the Floral Hall for which the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society is putting up attractive cash prizes.
Entries for the professional section close on Sunday, January 30, and further particulars relating to this and other sections may be obtained from the RWAS offices. Call 01982 554409 for more details.
