I REGRET voting Labour in 1997 and now it's perfectly plain that voting for any of the Lib-Lab- Con coalition will achieve us nothing but a US-media dominated dictatorship.

What are the electoral options left open to us? Not joining a political party is a good pre-election opener - the membership of our political parties is now so tiny they dare not give us the figures.

Not voting is a real mistake. It can be interpreted as acceptance of the status quo - while spoiling your voting paper can be interpreted at confusion or stupidity.

The London media types will gleefully tell you that voting for Respect, BNP, Greens and UKIP etc will simply divide the opposition vote and ensure a Labour victory.

The Left is now dead and Old Labour is just window-dressing behind which the same free market machinery that pulled Mrs Thatcher's strings is very much alive and kicking in the guise of New Labour.

I would be interested to know what a UKIP government would do. I imagine that nothing would rattle our political masters more than the prospect of the great political and journalistic gravy train of Europe coming to a shuddering halt.
