HANLEY Castle High School's U14s rugby side reached the final of the County Cup with a 12-7 home victory over Oldswinford Hospital School.
A first-half try by James Crane, converted by Tom Pugh, and one early in the second half by James Allen was enough, despite a converted try by the visitors.
Hanley are the joint holders of the trophy after a 5-5 draw in the final against Droitwich last year. They are waiting to find out their opponents, although Droitwich are still in the competition.
On Tuesday, Hanley play St Mary's, Hereford, away in the fourth round of the State Schools' Cup
