JIM Evans (Letters, Monday, January 17) seems to delight that deep offence caused to Christians by Jerry Springer - The Opera.
I would invite Mr Evans to contemplate how hurtful it would be to him if the BBC put on a TV programme attacking his mother, portraying her as a prostitute and subjecting her to gross humiliation in the name of ''pushing back the boundaries of art and freedom of expression".
I'm sure he would be grieved to know that such a programme had even been broadcast, regardless of whether he had seen it himself.
Such a programme would be identically offensive to him as the shameful Opera was to Christians.
We deeply love our Heavenly Father. He means everything to us and all our hopes are set on Him. Please try to understand this. The offence was real and heartfelt.
