DANCING divas in Evesham are encouraging residents to go Latin and take part in a sponsored Salsa-thon.
Angie Williams and Norman Nairne, who run the Just Latin Salsa dance studio, are organising the event to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) Real Valentine Appeal.
The charity hopes to raise more than £1m through the appeal and the cash will fund more specialist heart nurses across the country, including Worcestershire.
Angie said: "We are delighted to support the BHF and are looking forward to the Salsa evening which is not only good exercise but fun too.
Donna Stokes, Worcestershire spokeswoman for the BHF, said: "Currently, 2.7m people are living with heart problems.
"In fact, there are millions more affected, because for every patient there is someone whose life is revolving around caring for him or her.
The salsa event, due to take place on Thursday, February 17, will start at 7.30pm with a one-hour lesson for beginners and then continues with general salsa dancing until 11pm.
Novices and experienced salsa dancers are both invited to attend the event at Evesham Working Men's Club, in Merstow Green, Evesham.
The entry fee is £5 and covers the administrative costs and sponsor forms are available to help raise funds for the charity.
