ANDREW Hall, quite rightly, refers to the shortcomings of some drivers, (Evening News, January 10).
However, in reference to one incident, he refers to being "nearly run over by a female." Why does he mention the sex of the driver? That is irrelevant.
In my experience, women are, generally speaking, better drivers then men.
He says she was "yakking" on her mobile. Well, of course, the lady should not have been using her mobile while driving.
Nevertheless the term "yakking" suggests that the person was talking of something of little consequence.
I expect this correspondent "yaks" sometimes. It is just possible that, in fact, the lady had felt impelled to discuss the future of international relations.
