VOLUNTEERS are invited to a drop-in session near Droitwich to find out how they can get involved in different projects.
The volunteer drop-in day at Hanbury Hall, will take place on Wednesday, February 2, from 2pm to 6pm.
People will be encouraged to volunteer with the National Trust in the UK Year of Volunteers, designated by the Government as 2005.
It is an opportunity for everyone - from individuals and organisations, to community groups and employers - to "get, think and enable volunteering."
"We are seeking volunteers for the 2005 season," said Michelle Hill, house steward at Hanbury Hall.
"We can offer a great variety of interesting roles from helping with guided tours, to assisting with school visits, to acting as welcoming room stewards and garden stewards, driving the buggy for disabled visitors, helping in the tea-room, helping with fund-raising activities and many more.
"All we ask is that volunteers are enthusiastic, and enjoy meeting people. They can gain experience or share their skills with us, or take on a new challenge.
She added: "Without them, the National Trust would not be able to continue with the same amount of its conservation, learning and access work, and some properties would simply have to close."
Visitors to the volunteer drop-in day will have the opportunity to find out more about the volunteer opportunities at Hanbury Hall from members of staff and talk to current volunteers.
For more information on volunteering with the Trust, call Hanbury Hall on 01527 821214.
