I SOLD my home in Bromsgrove last July and moved to live permanently in the Republic of Ireland.
I dutifully notified Bromsgrove District Council I had sold my property and was therefore no longer responsible for paying council tax.
Imagine my surprise to receive correspondence from them, addressed to me at my new address in Ireland, concerning the calculation of Council Tax. Do they not realise that Bromsgrove is not and never will be in County Cork.
What a waste of taxpayers' money. I wonder how many others who have moved away from the area are still being needlessly assessed and written to?
