Boldmere St Michaels 2 Bromsgrove Rovers Reserves 2
ROVERS had to produce a gutsy display to win a point in this tense Midland Combination Reserves Division clash on Saturday.
Bromsgrove, missing top scorer Shaun Maynard, had to battle back from a goal behind to draw the match.
Rovers opened the scoring when Shaw and Mahan combined to put Lowe through on goal.
However, Boldmere responded emphatically and capitalised on a defensive error to make it 1-1.
Rovers' defence was caught out for a second time when they allowed a goal-kick to result in Boldmere's second effort.
Midfielder Michael McGrath added some much needed magic to earn his side a share of the points, when he curled a free-kick past the goalkeeper.
Bromsgrove take on Rushall Olympic in the Challenge Cup round two on Saturday (1.45pm kick off).
