A REDDITCH woman turned entrepreneur recently celebrated her first successful year of trading after setting up her business with help from the Prince's Trust.
Elizabeth Clifford, 27, is the founder of Swamp Kids, which produces handcrafted products for babies and children.
Mrs Clifford decided to set up her own business following her return to Redditch after working abroad and has also received backing from Business Link.
"Our first year of trading has certainly been eventful," she said.
"Not only have we exhibited at the NEC and Olympia in London but we have also received a letter of praise from The Prince of Wales and had orders from as far away as New York."
Mrs Clifford recently shared some of her entrepreneurial experiences with youngsters when she visited various high schools during Enterprise Week.
She is also one of the now 70,000 female business owners in the West Midlands, according to figures released recently by town MP and Minister for Women and Equality Jacqui Smith.
