RESIDENTS and visitors to Bromsgrove are being asked to help reshape the town's museum and tourist information centre.
A cross-party task group of councillors has been set up to carry out a complete review of how both facilities work and who visits them. The aim is to move them into the 21st century.
Group chairman, Councillor Margaret Sherrey, (Con-Furlongs) said: "The aim of the consultation is to help us make the most of these facilities, which are important for both local people and visitors to the area.
"Both facilities, housed in the Birmingham Road building, are important assets for Bromsgrove town and they are both used widely by many people of all ages.
"We will be looking at ways to update them and increase their potential for the future. The review will include details of any costs involved in modernising the two facilities. All comments will be considered and some people may be asked to attend a task group meeting in the future," she added.
The group would like to receive comments in writing, either by post, or online via Bromsgrove District Council's website at www.bromsgrove.gov.uk/museumconsult
This will be the first time the website has been used for consultation on a scrutiny exercise carried out by councillors. Comments by post should be sent to John Wright, Administrative Services, Bromsgrove District Council, The Council House, Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove, B60 1AA. The closing date for all comments is 4pm on Monday, February 14.
