TOWNSFOLK who have started smoking again or not quite got round to starting that New Year diet, should think about taking up a different kind of resolution.
Kind-hearted volunteers are needed to help out in the Primrose Hospice's administration office - and organisers are appealing to people who may wish to make helping others their promise for 2005.
Fundraisers are looking for people with experience of working in an office and who can spare two to three hours each week.
The St Godwald's Road hospice cares for local people with cancer. The fundraising team has to raise nearly half a million pounds a year to help care for patients and their families.
Lorraine Hart, fundraising manager, said: "We're a friendly bunch and we're working flat out on the various fundraising activities that we have planned for the year. By offering just a morning or an afternoon each week, local people can feel they're helping others in the area by putting their office skills to good use. This will free the team up to work on raising the vital funds we need."
