THROUGH your columns, I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to your readers for their tremendous generosity over the Christmas period in supporting the Primrose Hospice Lights of Love and Tree of Lights campaigns.
As well as remembering their loved ones at a poignant time of the year, residents have helped us to raise more than £18,000, which will contribute directly to the care of cancer patients at the Primrose Hospice, as well as supporting their families.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the schools, pubs, clubs, shops and businesses in the area who also supported us at Christmas by holding events, selling beanies, having a guess-the-name-of-the-reindeer competition and making donations in lieu of sending cards. This has raised a further £12,300.
Our work continues and your support is always appreciated.
Thank you.
