THE January meeting was held at the Quality Hotel, where members were pleased to welcome district chairman Shirley Clutton.
After speaking to the club, Mrs Clutton was presented with a patio rose by Inner Wheel president Sue Whiteside.
Overseas service organiser Elizabeth Ostroumoff organised a quiz for Inner Wheel Day. Members made donations to enter and £50 was raised for the charity Disability in Action in Asia.
Pat Pritchard ran a raffle for the tsunami disaster appeal and £87 was raised.
The club was thanked for these generous donations by the district overseas service chairman Georgina Hunt.
