REDDITCH golf club is concerned with the drop in membership over the past year.
Membership at the close of 1954 was given as 257. This includes life, honorary, playing, junior, country and club members.
Touching on this subject at the clubhouse on Monday, the president, Major FW Smith CBE, said he considered the drop in membership "unfortunate" as the club had a first-class course and clubhouse with a good coach.
He added that it was a "wonderful opportunity" for anyone to take up golf in such pleasant surroundings.
Members should bear this in mind and influence their friends to join.
