ALCESTER folk continue to record their war memories for an exhibition to be mounted in Alcester this summer.
Two women, Kathleen and Pat, are among the latest to tell their tales - and both involve changing career plans.
Kathleen's plan to join the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) were scuppered by her father who decided that she must go to university instead.
But while doing her degree she did voluntary work with evacuees.
Pat had planned to take a course in Domestic Science but instead trained as a nurse at St Bartholomew's Hospital where she worked for two years.
To read their stories in full visit the exhibition at Alcester Town Hall on July 9 and 10.
