A PRIMARY school in Worcester is celebrating Farmhouse Breakfast Week in style by providing pupils with a healthier start to the day.

Cranham Primary School, in Warndon, won a regional competition to encourage schools to find out more about the benefits of a healthy morning meal for pupils.

Youngsters at the Tetbury Drive school, who already drink 220 cartons of milk a day, won a further 50 pints and 20 cereal bowls to help set up a Breakfast Club thanks to a Co-op Dairies competition.

"We are very conscious that pupils have the right fuel in their bodies during the school day," said headteacher Valerie Holland.

Farmhouse Breakfast Week starts on Sunday, January 23. More details are available on www.hg
