MRS Chestnutt, president, opened the meeting by wishing everyone a happy new year. She also thanked members who turned out on a cold night in December to sing Christmas carols. These were much appreciated and £45 was raised for the Children's Association. The speaker for the evening was Emma Rippin who spoke briefly about homeopathy, following on with a very interesting talk about her sabbatical in India.
