MOTORISTS are being warned about delays due to essential roadworks on a commuter route near Worcester due to start next week.
Temporary traffic lights and speed restrictions will be in place on the north and southbound lanes during the resurfacing works on the A449 Claines roundabout.
The work, due to begin on Monday, January 31, at 8pm, is expected to take five nights to complete.
When the new surface has settled, a further high friction element will be added. This final stage will begin on Monday, February 21, and is expected to last for two nights.
"Drivers using the route are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or vary their route if possible," said Sarah Churchill, from the Highways Agency.
