Evesham Utd Ladies 1,
Burlish Olympic 4
UNITED started Sunday's game against high flyers Burlish in the worst possible fashion by conceding a goal in the first minute.
However, the home side came back to dominate the rest of the half but poor finishing saw at least six good chances go astray.
With no substitutes named, Evesham were reduced to ten players two minutes into the second half when Stephanie Clements limped off but the setback didn't seem to upset the home side.
They were rewarded for their endeavours after 65 minutes with an equaliser from the penalty spot when Lola Hughes netted after Danielle Hemming had been fouled.
With the game entering the final 15 minutes and a shock on the cards, a splendid shot from the edge of the penalty area restored Burlish's lead.
With the extra player now starting to take its toll on the home side, Olympic increased their lead nine minutes from time.
United were then reduced to nine players as Charlene McLoughlin limped off and the troubled hosts conceded a fourth to give the final scoreline a rather flattering appearance.
United are at home again on Sunday when they entertain Phoenix Hereford in the second round of the League Knockout Cup (2pm).
