I AM writing in response to the article in last week's Shuttle/Times and News, about the Warehouse Cinema.
On behalf of myself, my friends and my family, I would like to thank Simon Swaffield for giving Kidderminster the cinema it has so longed for.
My mum was 16 when the last cinema in Kidderminster closed down and I am 16 as this one is opening.
My friends and I are keen filmgoers and it is a hassle to organise transport to Merry Hill or Worcester.
The Warehouse will be a godsend to us as it is within walking distance and is reasonably priced.
It is also good to see that it is not a multiplex, as one of that size is not needed for this town.
It will be great to be able to see a film on the spur-of-the-moment, and not have to check the train times weeks in advance, or to have to bribe our parents to take us to Merry Hill on a Saturday night.
It is wonderful to see the historical buildings being put to good use and not replaced by yet another supermarket.
I cannot wait to see a film in the first Kidderminster cinema my generation has seen.
