Yardley & District 17pts,
Evesham 5
EARLY pressure led to a mistake behind the scrum that was quickly punished by Sean Hudson with a try under the post for an early 5-0 lead.
Yards never let their heads drop and came right back and held the visitors in their own half for most of the rest of the first half.
Unfortunately, Eve-sham lost another key player and, despite some good defensive work, a series of silly errors prevented them from pressurising their opponents more.
The second half started out well for Evesham as they camped themselves in the home 22 but again the errors came back.
Home Backs started to dominate out wide and Yards quickly levelled the score with a try in the corner.
Evesham went on the attack again but a tragic handling error gifted the home side a second try.
Evesham then received a further blow with the loss of their second back row player and they were forced to reshuffle their pack again.
This gave Yards the edge with backs already dominating and they managed to capitalise with a final try.
