A MAN found dead outside Kidderminster police station had phoned the police the previous night to say he had been kicked out of his house because of alcohol problems, an inquest heard.
Worcestershire Coroner Victor Round said single 24-year-old, Leon Bradley Laga, of Bewdley Hill, Kidderminster, had been allowed to shelter in the front office of the police station while staff tried to find him accommodation.
He had arrived at the police station at 11.53pm on Friday, January 14 and was found dead at 7.55am the following morning by police worker, Catherine Smith.
He had a cigarette in one hand and a lighter in the other and had last been seen alive by police shortly before 1am.
Mr Round adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed. He said a post mortem had been carried out but had not found a cause of death.
