BAY Watch is being launched in Wyre Forest in a bid to safeguard parking facilities for disabled motorists.
Disability Action Wyre Forest will carry out the survey throughout this year and will target all car parks that include disabled parking bays at places such as large stores, hospitals, schools or pubs.
Information about the number of bays designated and how many vehicles were parked in them which were not displaying blue badges will be passed on to the national Bay Watch Campaign, care of the Disabled Motoring Club.
The action group will monitor how successful the owners of the car parks are at dealing with and preventing abuse of parking bays earmarked for disabled people.
