CAMPDEN Dragons played their third round of matches in the National Floorball League at Spiceball, Banbury.
Once again they were out in force, bearing in mind they are the only team in the league with a junior team with an average age of 13 and two dads for support!
Team spirit and determination was once more to the fore and, in the first match against London Vikings, Josh Baker scored the first goal, assisted by Sam Needham.
Dragons went close on several other occasions while goalkeeper Sean Beasley made a series of excellent saves.
During the second half, player of the match George Richards scored an excellent goal assisted by Phillip Charman, while Aris Alexiou was set up by Jason Beasley for the third in a 13-3 defeat. Despite tremendous effort the dragons were defeated 13-3.
The second match was against Reading Raptors produced another fast and furious first half when Jason Beasley scored.
Mickey Beasley netted in the second half of a match that ended 17-2 against the gallant Campden side for whom Sam Needham was named player of the match.
The third and final match resulted in an 11-0 reverse against Milton Keynes when Josh Baker took the player of the match plaudits.
