ENERGETIC people in Bidford are enjoying new basketball facilities which have finally been completed on The Big Meadow.
The basketball court, along with a shelter for spectators and a five-a-side football pitch have been up and running since the end of last year.
Elisabeth Uggerloese, Bidford Parish Council clerk said: "We wanted it ready for the half-term period at the end of last year but it wasn't because there were so many people ill at the time.
"We're still waiting for white lines to be put down which will be the finishing touch."
Members of Bidford Parish Council voted unanimously to start building the court, which measures 20 by 12 metres and is fully enclosed.
The scheme was launched after close consultation with Bidford youngsters following a meeting with teenagers at Crawford Hall last year. They said they wanted better facilities in the village.
