A BIDFORD man has expressed his concern about the dumping of rubbish near to his home. At Monday's Bidford Parish Council meeting, Tony Quinney of Waterloo Road said a couple of years ago there was a fire in the fields behind his house and various locals helped put it out, which saved his property. Mr Quinney said that rubbish, which had caught fire regularly in the past, had recently been left even closer to his home.

He said: "Rubbish is being dumped there at the moment about 6ft away from my fence, I'm concerned that the hot weather will come and cause a fire." The parish council agreed to look into the matter.
