TWO Worcestershire men who are involved in two very different fields have been honoured for their achievements.
Cecil Duckworth, pictured left, the chairman and benefactor of Worcester Rugby Club, was named Central West Midlander of the Year 2004 for his services to sport and the community.
He set up the environmental charity, the Worcestershire Duckworth Trust, in May 1998, which aims to improve the safety and cleanliness of Worcester.
Equestrian Leslie Law, pictured right, from Inkberrow, who won a gold medal at last year's Athens Olympics, was also honoured for sporting achievement.
The fourth annual award ceremony took place last night at Birmingham's Central Studios. In total 12 awards, including eight specialist honours, were handed out.
