A MALVERN Link pub could soon boast a new skittles alley.
A planning application to convert a room at The Anchor, on Yates Hay Road, has been submitted to Malvern Hills District Council.
Landlady Jayne Peters said: "There's a bit of a shortage of skittle alleys around here, quite a few have been converted into something else.
"We've already got four or five men's teams interested and a couple of ladies' teams as well. I think it's going to pay for itself pretty quickly."
Mrs Peters, who leases the pub from Avebury Taverns, has been landlady since 1998.
She said: "We've always had the idea to do this since we moved here. We've got a room at the front that isn't being used."
"We're also having some work done inside the main bar to open it out a bit. We're hoping to take down some walls and lower the floor to give us more space."
Mrs Peters said she hoped the work would be completed by midsummer.
The deadline for representations to the planning department is February 5.
