With reference to last week's letter from S Charlton, my husband and I have lived in Callow End for many years and believe Tom Wells is an extremely hard working district and county councillor for the area. He not only believes in trying to get results in the community, but does succeed time and time again.

It is all too easy for vandals to disappear into thin air as the police patrol drives around and then reappear to carry on their acts of vandalism as the patrol car drives around the corner.

Surely most of all though, parents have got to be responsible for their off-spring and their actions? Parents of Callow End, where are your children (whatever their age) now? What are they doing? Do you really know?
