MALVERN Girls' College held its annual Junior Schools Netball Tournament on Saturday with 10 teams representing eight schools.
The Elms School won the U11s section with Hillstone as runners-up. St Johns on the Hill (Chepstow) won the U12s section with Hillstone again as runners-up.
It was an exciting afternoon, if not a little cold with biting winds and rain testing even the most enthusiastic supporters.
Shields and medals were presented to the winners by Philippa Leggate, head of Malvern Girls' College. Other schools taking part were Northleigh Primary, Castlemorton, Alice Ottley and Prestfelde School.
Rebecca Smith, PE teacher at the college, who organised this event said: "The tournament was enjoyed by all, with such a high standard of play demonstrated by both age groups. This is now an annual event at MGC and we are looking forward to even more schools taking part next year."
