MALVERN Cricket Club's annual presentation night was held at the club's Regency Road headquarters last Friday night.
The evening was a great success with over 50 players and guests attending.
Chairman Martin Mudway congratulated all players for making the 2004 season another success and hoped for further success during the coming season, which will be the club's 40th year.
Forthcoming events include an anniversary ball in June where it is hoped that the majority of members from past to present will attend. The event will be held at the club in a marquee on June 24, the event committee is hoping for around 200 guests.
The awards were as follows: First XI batting - Rob Francis, bowling - Adam Dovey, most improved - Tom Poole. Second XI batting - Dan Besgrove, bowling Martin Mudway, fielding Richie Cullen. Sunday batting - Matt Cross, bowling - Lewis Hooper, fielding - Ray Evans.
Winter nets for both juniors and seniors start tonight (Friday) at Malvern College, juniors 7-8pm, seniors 7-9pm. All players are welcome, as well as any new players wanting to join the club.
Malvern CC play in the Worcestershire County League division two.
