A DRAWER containing cash and personal belongings which was stolen from an address in Warndon, Worcester, was returned to the owner, complete with contents, just 24 hours later.
Worcester Police are now trying to identify who returned a drawer to the address in Shap Drive.
The burglary happened between 11pm on Sunday, January 16, and 8.40am on Monday, January 17. The following day at around 12.15pm, a white flat-bed vehicle was seen driving away from the address.
At about the same time the drawer was discovered on the front door-step. It is believed no attempt was made to knock on the door or ring the bell.
"We are keen to hear from the person who delivered the drawer and particularly want to know exactly where they found it," said police spokesman.
"Someone may have seen it being dumped or there may be further property - or information that may be gleaned - from where it was found.
"We would like the driver of the vehicle to come forward, if only to eliminate him from our enquiries."
Anyone who has any information should contact police on 08457 444 888, quoting 30C/170105.
