A STORE manager in Wootton Wawen was threatened by intruders who broke into his shop early Friday morning.
The two men, with scarves covering their faces, used a crowbar in an attempt to force the door of the General Stores in Stratford Road.
When the manager, who was asleep above the premises, woke and shouted down at them one produced a baton and threatened him.
The offenders stole cigarettes from the store which they carried away in dustbins. They escaped in a dark coloured sports saloon along the A3400 towards Stratford.
Alcester police are appealing for information about the incident and can be contacted on 01926 415000.
