CYCLING: Steve Knight took the plaudits for winning the last round of Midland Cyclo Cross at Pitcheroak Wood on Sunday.
The MI Racing rider lapped all but three of his rivals in the event. Second was Phil Hughes of Rugby Velo and Mark Allen of Team Cadbury third.
The Ladies, Veterans and Juniors race was run together with Elizabeth Clayton of Lichfield taking the ladies event, Ian Wright of Lichfield the veterans victor and Karl Troth the juniors winner.
In the youth race Rob Burns of Wolverhampton came in first and Helen Clayton of Lichfield took the girls prize. Best under 14 went to Alex Tinsley of Halesowen.
The under 12s was won by Josh Papworth and the under 10s was taken by Emily Kay, both of the Halesowen club.
In the under 8s race Rebekeh Rollinson-Lord of Halesowen was first, Stephen Tomes of Walsall was second and Chloe Potts of Redditch third.
