THE Palace Theatre hosts a return visit by The Locrian Ensemble on Saturday evening with their show - The Greatest Classical Concert in the History of the World by Candlelight.
The theatre will be transported back in time when the chamber music group, backed by lavish sets and attired in Baroque period costumes, perform a programme of classic hits under the direction of Justin Pearson.
The programme includes popular pieces such as Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March, The Dambusters March, Puccini's Nessun Dorma and Strauss's The Blue Danube, together with Gilbert & Sullivan songs, great British themes and other favourites.
A spokesman said: "Relax to the beautiful sounds of some of the greatest tunes ever composed and thrill to the excitement of a rousing finale.
"If you go to hear classical concerts, or have thought of trying just one, make it the Locrian."
The concert begins at 7.30pm and tickets, priced £14.50 are available from the Information Centre or by calling 65203.
