Coton Green 1 Droitwich Spa Reserves 2
DEFENDER Ian Squires' goal gave Spa a victory over the Midland Combination Division Three leaders on Saturday.
With the game evenly balanced the centre-back's 40-yard free-kick decieved Green's goalkeeper and made it 2-1.
It was a deserved victory for Droitwich - who had also opened the scoring.
Arron Parr had scored a scrappy goal from a corner in the first half.
However, Spa were level after Green's captain scored from a corner.
Once Squires had restored Droitwich's lead Spa had to defend doggedly.
Chris Hartshorne denied Green an equaliser with a well time block.
The Reserves take on Birmingham University Reserves at home on Saturday (2.45pm kick off).
