WE started off the New Year with a resurrected lease of life. How to propagate all types of hard wood cuttings and berries were demonstrate to us by Bob Hares, an RHS advisor. We were eager to go home and start right now as this is the time to do hard wood cuttings from bushes, roses and perennial plants. Bob's quiet enthusiasm can't help but rub off on other gardeners.
Next Wednesday we hold our AGM accompanied by a glass of wine and followed by a talk from Marie Paginton. She is going to show us slides and tell us about her experiences in the gardens and homesteads of New Zealand, which should give us a different slant on the usual scenes portrayed of that wonderful country. Visitors always welcome.
Our meetings are held at the village hall, Chaddesley Corbett, 7.30pm, for coffee, company and a chat. You don't have to be a gardener to enjoy our evenings.
