THE Wishband message is stretching far and wide as enquiries and reservations come in from all over the country.
Thousands of our aquamarine rubber wristbands, embossed with "Tsunami - Funding a Future", have already been ordered, raising thousands of pounds for the relief effort.
And thanks to the internet the message is getting out.
One email we received was from a woman in Middlesex.
"I have been on to your newspaper's web site and read the piece about the DJs and the tsunami wristbands and read that you can reserve them, I would very much like to reserve at least five of them," she said.
Following the tragic events of Boxing Day, when millions of people's lives were devastated by the huge waves, the Evening News launched a major appeal.
In partnership with Worcestershire County Council, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, Cathedral Plaza and CrownGate Shopping Centre, we have bought 15,000 aquamarine wristbands, which people can buy to show their support.
Each one costs £1.50 and every penny will go to UNICEF's disaster fund. We hope to raise at least £22,500.
The appeal is being supported by celebrities and local people who are encouraging readers to get involved and wear their Wishband with pride.
