THE pubs of Redditch, Bromsgrove and the surrounding area form part of a pub crawl with a difference this month as the local branch of the Campaign for Real Ale encourages people to get out and about.
National Pub Week runs from February 19-26 - but the Redditch and Bromsgrove CAMRA branch has decided to celebrate it for a whole month.
They've organised a challenge for the public to visit 20 pubs in the area, answer a question about each one's history and win four-and-a-half gallons of beer or runners-up prizes in the process.
The pub quiz trail takes in pubs like The Coach and Horses at Weatheroak, The Throckmorton Arms in Coughton, The Cross and Bowling Green at Branson's Cross, Steps in Headless Cross and many more in and around the two towns.
Camra member Doug Fitten said: "All the pubs on the list are nominated for next year's Good Beer Guide, so you're guaranteed a good pint of traditional ale."
Mr Fitten added: "We want to see people using pubs more, especially country ones, rather than drinking at home.
"There's nothing like the traditional English pub and that's what we want to encourage."
