Malvern 0, Pershore 4
THE visitors continued their good start to 2005 in the Coaching Solutions League with a sound success over Saturday's bottom of the table hosts.
Pershore opened the scoring after a textbook training ground move saw Graeme Rushin seek out Gareth Rushton with a fierce free hit who diverted it past an excellent goalkeeper.
The visitors were dominant for much of the first half, but failed to extend their lead further.
All three second half goals came from short corners. The first saw Rob Curley power the ball home from a straight strike, the second was a rebound to Toby Whiting, who made no mistake, and the third a return to the injector Rushton, who lifted the ball into the roof of the net.
A comfortable victory that should have brought more goals but the resilience of the Malvern defence and excellence of their keeper kept the game close throughout.
The winners' next two league games should be tougher affairs when they play host to both Kynoch and Standard.
